I get that there weren’t good options to choose from, but to go for the worst? What is happening in Poland? Why are so many people voting for the far-right?

    nothing out of the ordinary. pis status quo holds on. facist guys won in social media wars. left is scattered.

    The people in power need to decide whether they want more of that, then in 5-10 years Konfederacja is where the German AfD is now, the strongest party at 25%. Or they learn from the Danish social democrats and avoid that outcome.

    You ain’t fooling democracy on election day, no amount of shaming and blaming is going to achieve that. Didn’t work with Trump, never going to work.

  10. The simple answer is that people are idiots. They buy into the scare tactics by PIS or somehow think a minority of people in Poland (Muslims or LGBTQ) threaten their freedoms and religion. Rafał winning, if he wins will not mean Poland is automatically better but it is a step in the right direction. People vote for right wing candidates because they use emotion and scare tactics to get elected. That if they don’t get elected, the country will fall apart and bad people will take over. That’s how Trump was elected in America, he used scare tactics about his opponent and make false claims and promises.

I was closely watching social media in months prior to the election and I can honestly say we’re being attacked day after day with fake news and propaganda baits desinged to cause fear and negative emotions against EU, green energy, Ukraine, refugees, womens rights, LGBTQ+ rights. The hybrid war is real.

  17. 60% are old people with dementia… But to make things worse 20% are openly pro Russian traitors.

    Btw.: Facebook should be banned in Europe.
